SEA GIRL
"It is not so difficult to find a good horse. You need the
skills, the knowledge and a lot of
disposition for hard work.
First you have
to believe that
a good horse
can came from
any place.
I bought Sea Girl
for only $1,000.
You know very
well the situation.
The auctioneer
after no bids ask for the audience; Who gives$1,000, who
gives 1,000? You raise your hand and you have the horse.
Simple like that. No one wants the horse. Only you.
Funny situation. But I liked Sea Girl very much. I did not
care she was
bred
in Illinois,
that she doesn't
have what people
call a fashionable
pedigree, but in
my opinion she
show me a lot of
class and presence.
The time proved
I was right. She
was a champion.
She destroyed the
competition. She
beats the boys two
times at the International GP. 25 de Mayo (ARG-G1). I like that."

BABY VICTORY
had as a weanling all the ingridients to be a champion.
And she was in 2006, beating the fillies of her age
and also the oldest ones. Honest, she show me the
spirit of a fighter and the heart of a warrior.

EINSTEIN & HARD BUCK
Were obvious choices. Athletics, corrects both with
the Buckpasser type. Class and expression everywhere
Einstein proved on the Gulf Stream Park Tuf Breeders
Cup Hcp. (2005) that he was a tough horse on the grass
at the middle distace races.
Hard Buck, was a hard tryer, that won or was
second in Grade 1 events in four continents.
He was the first Brazilian horse to be second
in a Turf race at the Festival, and also the first
south-american horse to be second on the
prestigious
King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot in 2004

MUCH BETTER
With Much Better was not different. He was one of the most
correct and classic
type I have inspected
in my professional life.
But not many people
around me have
the same thoughts.
I purchased him for
only $3,000.
  Most people
believe he was the best
modern South American
racehorse. Many that
he was the best of all times.
I did not really know. But one thing I can say; He was a
hell of horse. Easily the best I was around and the only one
until now who full fitted my dream to run an Arc.

CARA RAFAELA & THE REAL VASLAV
I will have always a special place in my heart for
Cara Rafaela. She was the most expensive yearling I bought,
and my first real
chance in
the U.S.
for the
classics. I
also can say
Cara Rafaela
gave
me the
opportunity
to work for the
second time with
D. Wayne Lukas.
The first horse I
sent to this great
trainer was
The Real Vaslav.
A very smart son of
Seattle Dancer that
was our Kentucky
Derby horse, but after being second to Corby in a grueling
allowance, was decided to place him on the shelves for
a while. But Cara Rafaela did her job. I remember one
afternoon, when Lukas stop me
in
Keeneland an told me;
"She is for real."
Cara Rafaela was a
Grade 1 winner and lost the
Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) in
the last meters for a
true champion, Mt Flag. Today
my great
gray love is making
babies. The first one a gray filly
like her was third at the Santa
Anita Oaks, and the second, a dark brown colt like his father
Seattle Slew was sold for $1,600,000.

INSTRUMENTS
Many people are asking. How we can find these horses?
What are yhe minimum
requirements to buy a top class
runner. For this people I have
only one answer;
"A bottle of water, a catalog,
a pen and a cellular. Believe in
your eyes and in your instincts.
Never give up in a horse. If you
like one, put him in your short
list and came back to inspect
him two or three times more.
Always give a second chance
for a horse that you are
in doubt. In the end try to find
someone to convince that you find the right one.

VICTORICA & THEYCALLMECHARLIE
I bred a filly named Victorica. I always love him since
the moment I saw her for the first time in the farm. I
introduced her for
half of the planet,
but no one was
convinced to pay
more than $15,000.
I decided to run her,
and Victorica, first
with Patrick Byrne
and after with
Nial O'Callagham,
proved I was not wrong.
She was though. Not a
great filly but at
least a genuine one.
Victorica won near
$400,000 and was a
Stakkes winner.
We made money and
have a lot of fun. In a
similar experience
another filly that cost as a "yearling"
only $4,000 gave us a lot of pleasure. Her name was
Theycallmecharlie, because Charlie was her name for the
Michael Dickinson's grooms before she has an official one.
She was a Stakes contender and give us a lot of pleasure.
LITTLE BABY BEAR, DUBAI DUST &
FIRST AMERICAN
I exported a lot of fillies to Argentina and Brazil in the
price range of $15,000.
Amazingly 24% of them
were Stakes contenders
and not less than 17%
Group winners. Sea Girl,
Indian Hope,
Wild Emotions,
Little Baby Girl,
Cara Regina,
Sharp Profile,
Alcatraz Singer,
China Express, Padrao Global, Thong Thong Thong,
Ferdinandina, Happy Holiday, Big Baby Bear are a few
of them. It is impossible to me to point one as the best.
Sea Girl?,
Indian Hope?
Little Baby
Bear? I can
not make
this decision,
but one
daughter of
Isgala, has
a very special
place in my
memories.
Isgala?
Who is Isgala?
I do not have
a clue. But In Jubilation that I traded for peanuts, produced
for one of my clients the Champion 2YO Little Baby Bear,
the
Indiana Derby winner Dubai Dust, and the only entry
in
the Kentucky Derby, First American.

NO FEAR

In any circunstances, show
fear. Believe in your
instincts. Go for it. If you
believe in a horse, buy him.
Good horses are not like
grapes, that will come
every year. Only a few can
go to the top. You need to
select and try to pay a
reasonable price. In
America you still buy a
good horse for a reasonable
price. Look what happens
with Real Quiet, War Emblem,
Skip Away, Seattle Slew,
Holy Bull, Tiznow,
Spectacular Bid and many others. You do not need a crystal
ball, but you need to give the job for a profissional. An agent
is like a doctor or a architect. They can find the best solutions
for your needs. We can find the best for your needs. Give us a
chance to prove it and put your horse in our list of Stakes
winner. You can be the number 153.

DO NOT USE A CRYSTAL BALL USE US!
